Hi! I am a high schooler looking towards becoming a game developer. As a start, I am using the Libgdx framework to create an Android game. The result of that is this very game! I hope you enjoy my first ever game.
Welcome to Agility Rush! It is the new name of this game and in my opinion, it's much better than the original name: "Basic Libgdx Game".
How do you play?
The game idea is very similar. It should be familiar to you if you have ever played Geometry Dash or the Google Dinosaur game. What you have on the left-hand side is the player, you. You have a move set of 2 possible actions that you can do:
- You can either "jump" by tapping the screen.
- Or You can "accelerate" back down to the ground if you were already airborne when the screen was tapped.
There are box-shaped obstacles coming towards you from the right, and your goal is to make it through them with the aid of your move set, your possible actions. The obstacles require you to jump over them, where if you fail to do so, you lose the game. See, very simple! There also game sound effects and music settings that you can change and customize to your heart's content in the settings screen. Some settings include whether you want the music on/off, the music volume, a selection of music soundtracks for while you play, and more!
That is it! The game is still in development and thus there is no available copy or version of the game to play, yet. Once completed, I will release this game and make it available on Google Play Store, through which you can access and play my game, free of charge! There will be a link in the future here to take you directly to the game within Play Store when it's released of course. Till then, please read my devlogs to stay updated on the game's current situation. Hope you enjoy the game!
